Children's Commissioner for Wales

Childrens Commissioner logo

Peter Clarke is the Children's Commissioner for Wales, and he and his team are there to help make sure that children and young people in Wales:

  • are safe from harm and abuse
  • get the opportunities and services they need and deserve
  • are respected and valued
  • have a voice in their communities and are able to play as full a part as possible in decisions that affect them
  • know about their rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

We're here for everyone aged 18 or under living in Wales, or who normally lives in Wales.

We can also help older young people who've been in care, and look into things that affected some adults while they were children.
